Calming Turmeric Latte Recipe

This latte recipe features a fantastic group of ingredients to promote a healthy mind and body. Turmeric is anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial. Almond milk is full of Omega-3 fatty acids, which promotes a strong, healthy heart, and contains vitamin E, which helps protect skin and keep its elasticity. Maple syrup and cinnamon are full of antioxidants. Nutmeg is calming, reduces mental exhaustion as well as eases muscle and joint pain. Ginger is known to clear congestion and help stop fever and chills.


Ingredients


1 cup unsweetened almond milk

1 tablespoon turmeric powder

2 teaspoons maple syrup

1 teaspoon peeled, grated fresh ginger

1 pinch nutmeg

1 pinch cinnamon + more for serving

* To make two servings, double the recipe.


Directions


Whisk almond milk, turmeric, maple syrup, ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes. Pour through strainer into a mug, sprinkle with more cinnamon, and enjoy!
