Looking for a cheap, healthy way to sanitize your baby's room? We've got the answer!
If you're looking for a natural way to disinfect and clean your baby's crib, toy box and diaper changing area, look no further than baking soda! This wonder mixture is inexpensive, and a great way to make sure your baby's spaces are clean, odorless, and sanitized.
Mix 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup white vinegar, and 2 1/2 litres of warm water. Dip a sponge in the mixture and go over the headboard, footboard, and rails. Be cautious when cleaning the mattress board, ad it is sometimes made of cardboard and you don't want to warp it. If you'd like, in the meantime sprinkle mattress with baking soda do remove any lingering odors. Vacuum up before placing mattress back in crib. When done, your baby's sleep area will be clean and fresh with no finger marks smudges!
You can also mix 1 cup of baking soda with 1 cup of white vinegar and wipe down your baby's toys. Always rinse with water and let dry before letting your baby play with them. Sprinkle baking soda on stuffed animals and shake out for fresh smelling soft toys.
Another fabulous way to use baking soda is to soak smelly clothes in a 1/2 cup of baking soda to a bucket of warm water and soak your baby's clothes for a few hours, then wash as normal. Their clothes will come out like they're new from the store!
