Embracing You: The Journey to Self-Love!

Self-love is an empowering journey that invites you to embrace yourself wholeheartedly! But what exactly is self-love? At its core, self-love is about recognizing your worth and treating yourself with kindness, happiness, and joy. Imagine waking up each day with a sense of appreciation for who you are – flaws and all!
I can hear you say, “easier said than done!” Especially when most of us have been programmed that we are not good enough, bullied as a child, made fun of because of physical flaws, embarrassed because we came from a poor family, told we were stupid, etc. You get the picture. Where do we begin to love ourselves, if nobody else loved us along our journey?
The first step to self-love is to be self-aware and honest about your relationship with yourself. Begin having a chat with yourself while looking into a mirror. Acknowledge your strengths and weaknesses, and pay attention to what you are feeling when you are having this little chat with yourself. Most of all, be willing to confront uncomfortable truths without making an excuse.
Next, you need to review the people in your life, personally and professionally, and identify those who drain your energies. If people are draining your energy, then you’re coasting through life. If you are coasting through life, then you are going downhill. If you are going downhill, part of you is dying! You need to identify that part of you who is dying and tell him or her how much you love them. Ask yourself for forgiveness for allowing this to happen. Know that it is okay to allow yourself to let go of those relationships that no longer serve your highest potential for healing.
Say your words out loud. Let your inner child hear your voice. If we have positive self-validation, we stop looking for validation outside ourselves. Self-validation builds Self-worth. Self-worth is a form of self-love. When we believe we are worthy of love, accepted in this world, and good enough, we thrive! It’s an internal sense of value that forms the foundation of self-love.

Affirm to yourself that you and your inner child, are both in it together from this point forward. Most of all, you need to do what you say; this will help you create trust between you and you. What do I mean, do what you say?
Accountability: It emphasizes the importance of being accountable for your commitments to your inner child.
Building trust: When you consistently “do what you say,” it builds trust between you and you.
Honesty and integrity: When you are honest with yourself and have integrity, doors of opportunity will open to you, allowing a new reality to manifest for you, filled with love for self and others.
Once trust has been established, you can take a leap of faith. A leap of faith will open you up to your highest potential, aligned with your highest possibility, within the divine infinite field of all possibilities. This is the space where miracles are made!
Fundamental transformation occurs when you feel safe taking a leap of faith. Every time you keep your promise and say you to your inner child, you are creating a pathway to self-love. Imagine nurturing a positive relationship with yourself where every day feels like an opportunity to thrive!
Sometimes a person needs a little help to get started.
