Dry Skin? You Need This Face Mask



With ingredients like yogurt and honey, this mask is sure to leave your skin feeling soft and supple.


Ingredients:

3 Tablespoons Plain Yogurt

1 Teaspoon Liquid Honey

1 Tablespoon Quick Oats

1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice

½ a Banana

Benefits of Each Ingredient:

Banana – Banana is the perfect ingredient to fight lines and wrinkles. It also deeply moisturizes skin, leaving it very soft to the touch. Banana reduces acne and stops it from coming back.

Oats – Oats are an amazing natural exfoliant. You can use whatever oats are handy, but quick oats are smaller in size, and therefore less abrasive on the skin. Oats remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and rid the skin of toxins. They also aid in smoothing skin.


Lemon – Lemon tones the skin, fades age and sun spots, removes bacteria and leftover makeup, and minimizes pores. If you have oily skin, squirt some lemon juice on a cotton ball and pat over your face after applying the mask but before moisturizing.

Yogurt – Yogurt has tons of good bacteria, brightens skin, makes skin appear younger and fuller, and also hydrates skin.

Honey – Honey is antibacterial and antioxidant. Antioxidants repair and prevent damaged skin cells, and their antibacterial properties clear your skin of impurities. Honey also reduces facial irritation and redness. Honey softens skin and leaves it looking bright.

To Make Your Mask:

Put half a banana into a medium-sized bowl.

Using a fork, mash it until it has a runny consistency.

Next, add yogurt to the bowl and gently mix until combined.

Add liquid honey and oats.

Add lemon. If using a fresh lemon, squeeze a lemon into a bowl over a strainer to catch any seeds.

Using a light hand, mix everything together.

Now you’re ready to go!

Tip: Dampen skin before applying. This will help the mask absorb into your skin.

Using clean fingers, or even better a medium face brush, apply the mask to your face. Start off with a thin layer and build it up as you please. Add more of the mixture to problem areas like the chin, cheeks, and forehead.

Leave mask on for 10 – 20 minutes.

Rinse off with warm water, gently massaging the skin as you remove the mask.

Tip: If you have oily skin now is the time to tone your face with lemon juice.

Finally, generously apply your favourite moisturizer to your skin.

Place leftovers in a plastic container and store it in the fridge.
