Lavender Tea Latte Recipe
Sipping on Lavender tea is a natural way to de-stress and relax. Filled with potassium, magnesium, and zinc, lavender promotes a restful sleep. It is also known to calm muscle spasms and anxiety. Get the most benefits from lavender by steeping it in a lovely tea.
Start by making lavender tea. You can also buy lavender tea from the grocery store.
You'll need 2 tablespoons of lavender buds (food grade) and 4 cups of boiling water.
Grab a pot and place buds inside, either in a steeper or just throw them in.
Pour boiling water on top and let steep for 10-15 minutes. Strain buds with a fine mesh strainer.
Next, make the lavender syrup while your tea is steeping.
Take 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of water, and 3-4 tablespoons of dried lavender buds (food grade) ad bring to a boil over high heat.
Then, reduce heat to low and simmer for about 4 minutes.
Remove from heat and let sit while tea finishes steeping.
Strain buds with a fine mesh strainer.
Finally, in a bowl, with a hand frother, mix 1/2 cup of your desired milk.
Set aside for a moment.
Get a large mug or two, add a teaspoon (or desired amount) of syrup, pour in tea, leaving room at the top, and stir.
Top with frothy milk, a dash of cinnamon and enjoy!
Try adding Earl Grey Tea for a caffeine boost, and lemon for a refreshing twist!
