Here at A Beautiful Life, we love love. All kinds of love. We also love a good song. We also love a good love song. And we also love a good love song by a Canadian artist we love. So naturally, I put together a list of some of our favourite love songs that we keep on repeat. Canada produces some top-notch talent, and Canadian artists have some pretty bangin' love songs that I want to share with you - so let's get started! This song came out when I was a child and it has been a favourite since. Here at A Beautiful Life, we love blasting this song and swaying along! It has sweet lyrics like "Every night when I would go to sleep / I couldn't stop dreaming about you".

And, I gotta give a shoutout my my fellow Arab-Canadian! Love it.

7 Day Fool - Jully Black

This cover of the Etta James classic is so good! It's sweet and has great retro vibes. It's a perfect song for when you feel you like someone so much, that you'll do anything for them, and be their 7-day fool.

Bang Bang Boom - The Moffatts

YES, the Moffatts! Who doesn't love them? Their songs are gold. No wonder this song was the fastest #1 single in Canadian music history. It's super catchy and has charming lyrics. Also, the video is super early 2000s, so what's not to love?

Heartbeat, It’s a Love Beat by the DeFranco Family

Now I'm hitting you with those 70s vibes. What did you think, that my music taste is linear? This song is GREAT. A classic. My mom introduced me to it when I was a child and I've been a fan ever since. This song perfectly sums up what it's like to be in the first bloom of love and the feelings that come with that.

To the Man Who Let Her Go – Tyler Shaw

Last year my mom came to me and said, "Have you heard this new song? It's really sweet!" And I've been a fan ever since. This song is super romantic and swoon-worthy. It has a chill vibe and has really nice lyrics. Overall, a great song!

Haven’t Had Enough - Marianas Trench

This song is about when you can't stop doing that on-and-off thing with that someone who never really goes away. Love this song, and the lyrics are fantastic! You won't regret listening to this one, especially if you like pop-rock (like me).

Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepson

I still love this song years after it exploded onto the scene. You cannot deny it is a super cute song! This song takes me back to being a teenager. *Sigh* Talk about the nostalgic feeling of your high school crush. By the way, fun fact: this song was written in part by Josh Ramsay of Marianas Trench.

Forever and Always - Shania Twain

I heard this song first as a child, and I've loved it ever since. It's so pure and romantic, with lyrics such as "Wanna wake up every mornin' to your sweet face / Always", it melts my heart every time.

Yalla Habibi – Karl Wolf

Ah, Yalla Habibi. The Arabic phrase heard around the world. "Let's go, my love," it means. This song is cute and makes me smile when I hear it, so I had to add it to the list! Oh, and another shoutout to a fellow Arab-Canadian!

Somebody to Love – Justin Bieber

I feel like this is an underrated JB song. I admit that I still remember how to do the dance Justin does in this video, I'm actually kinda impressed with myself! The lyrics are adorable and it's an all-around feel-good song. Time to dance! ;)
