Dream Vacation: Venice, Italy

Travel today can get tricky, but they can’t take away our imagination, so let’s close our eyes and take a trip to Venice.

Venice is in northeastern Italy. It’s built on a group of 118 small islands that are separated by canals and linked by over 400 bridges. The islands are in the shallow Venetian Lagoon.

The name is derived from the ancient Veneti people who inhabited the region by the 10th century BC.

Venice has many names, "Queen of the Adriatic," City of Water," "City of Masks," "City of Bridges," "The Floating City," and "City of Canals."

It is renowned for the beauty of their settings, their architecture, and artwork. It’s also known for several important artistic movements, especially during the renaissance period. Venice became the most elegant and refined city in Europe, greatly influencing art, architecture, and literature.

Venice, with its beautiful cityscape, uniqueness, and rich musical and artistic cultural heritage is a popular tourist destination – hosting up to 60,000 tourist per day! It has been ranked many times the most beautiful city in the world.

While we are here let’s sample some popular dishes like Baccala Mantecato, Risotto al nero di sepia or Fegato alla Veneziana and enjoy a Bellini, a cocktail made of white wine and peach juice. Buon viaggio!
